  1. Dear Aggrey,
Wonderful work you are doing outside there for the sole purpose of coming back to develop Kenya for a good course. My name is Allan Onyango and I was a student of Development studies in my undergraduate in Maker ere University.
I greatly concur with you and attest to the fact that Communication is one of the biggest hindrances gagging Kenya and the rest of Africa to develop. In fact I work in a project that is facing communication as the biggest barrier to effective implementation.
I have been admitted at the Institute of Housing and Urban Development Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam in Netherlands to pursue a master’s degree in Urban Management and Development with a specialization in Urban Social Development. I have seen a picture you have took at Korogocho slums. It pretty describes the status of the slums in Kenyan Urban Areas a key study I will research on. With the Knowledge I will gain at IHS, I will be able to initiate programmes that are curtailed towards improving urban social systems.
I am currently pursuing a master’s degree in Project Planning and Management at Nairobi University.
I am looking for scholarships/grants to fund my studies for one year. Any advice and links? I am trying researching for my eligibility with FORD foundation.

I am looking forward to your reply.

    Yours Faithfully,
    Jaboma Allan Onyango.

  2. Thanks for the compliments Allan and congratulations for being admitted at Erasmus University. I know that Ford Foundation selected the last batch of its fellows in 2010. I have no specific scholarship opportunity that could be of your interest but once in a while i usually come across several. I have had the same kind of request of scholarship opportunities in the past and i have decided to open up a special page on my blog to be notifying guys of the same as i come across them. I hope through that way, you and others might end up benefiting. Meanwhile, all the best in your endeavors.
