I am a collaborative, strategic, team-oriented professional with over 18 years of experience in researching, designing, managing, monitoring, and evaluating various Communication for Social Change, child protection, health & social justice interventions targeting underserved and under-resourced communities.
I have held various non-profit management positions including being a Regional Program Manager that among other responsibilities was in charge of sub-granting and managing grants accorded to NGOs operating within a consortium in East Africa. I have significant community mobilizing, policy advocacy, coalition building, program management, proposal writing, and grants management experience. The impact created by my previous professional engagements has won me various international awards such as the Rolex Award in 2012, the 2015 Excellence in Global Leadership Engagement Award, and the 2013 African Children Hero award. I also won a Ford Foundation International Fellowship in 2009.
I am driven by a bias for action. My mission-driven strategy to consultancy or non-profit management focuses on delivering results. Across my work, I leverage my knowledge and networks to make connections, fill gaps, reduce inefficiencies, and advance progress. I act as a strategic thought team member who dives deep into projects and provides solutions rooted in lessons learned and innovative thinking.
